Germany is a country rich in history dating back thousands of years. These days, travelers flock to the country to visit the world's most famous castle, Neuschwanstein, or for seasonal events like Oktoberfest and the Christmas markets. In my view, it's important to pay respect to the millions of people who lost their lives during WWII and the Holocaust and learn about this tragic time in history while you're in the country. Learning about our history is the only way to stop it from repeating itself in the future.
